New restrictions in Greece to avoid the spread of Covid-19 infection: 1st: The 85th Thessaloniki International Fair, scheduled for September 5-13, 2020, will not take place.

The
Prime Minister will be present in Thessaloniki with the established speech, which he will deliver on
September 5, in a limited audience.
2nd: Based on the course and the evaluation of the epidemiological data, it was decided that from 17/8
for the entry in Greece it becomes obligatory to present a negative molecular test for coronavirus (PCR
test), which will have been performed up to 72 hours before, for those traveling by flight from the
following countries: Sweden, Czech Republic, Belgium, Spain and the Netherlands.
3rd: Regarding the land borders, from 17/8 it becomes mandatory to present a negative molecular
control test (PCR test) for all those entering from the land borders. The test must also have been
performed up to 72 hours before entering Greece. The obligation to present it also includes Greek citizens
and those with residence permits. The test must have been performed in the country of origin and not in
Greece.

4th: From 16/8 there will be a limit of the allowed number of entrants from the border post of Kakavia.
Specifically, from 16/8, 750 people per day will be allowed to cross.
5th: Every public event in which the participants are standing, including concerts and performances, is
suspended throughout the country.
6th: Based on the data and the epidemiological burden, it was decided, from 11/8 to 23/8, to ban the
operation of health interest stores from 12.00 midnight to 7.00 in the morning in the following areas:
– The Regions of Crete, Eastern Macedonia and Thrace,
– The Regional Units of Thessaloniki, Halkidiki, Larissa and Corfu,
– The Municipalities of Mykonos, Paros, Santorini, Volos, Katerini, Rhodes, Antiparos, Zakynthos, Kos.
The ban can be extended to other areas or even horizontally, depending on the evolution of
epidemiological data.
