Elba Hosts the First Central Italy Youth Mtb Grand Prix

Among the panoramas and trails immersed in natural landscapes, the sixth edition of the national mtb youth circuit, a competition reserved for rookie categories and student bikers from age 13 to 16, starts from Porto Azzurro February 29th and March 1st, 2020.

February 18th, 2020, Grand Prix Italy arrives in Elba, a mountain bike competition for the youth divided into four age groups and organized by the commune of Porto Azzurro in collaboration with Elba Bike and Longone bike.
February 29th March 1st, the bikers will compete on both closed circuits, suited to younger people and more challenging trails made for more experienced kids.
L’Elba is the first stop in the Central Italy Grand Prix, which this year consists of a circuit of 8 races in Central Italy, and therefore will be a destination for young athletes coming from all over the nation. It comes down to the sixth edition of a competition reserved to rookie categories and student bikers from ages 13 to 16.
On March 1st the National Cycling Federation will be giving away the winter champion jersey to each winner of the four categories in which the scheduled race is divided.
This important sporting event confirms how Elba is increasingly becoming the ideal destination to practice mtb throughout all seasons of the year. In addition to the Central Italy Youth mtb Grand Prix, in fact another prestigious protagonist sporting event on the Island off season is the Conquistadores Cup at the end of October
With its more than 400km outdoor trails between the sea and the mountains, the island is a destination of choice for cycling enthusiasts. You can find some specific areas that are considered a real kingdom of mtb. The Elba Gravity Park, is situated in the eastern part of the island, with its trails that unfold among the mountains, woods, mines, 360-degree sea views, and its Capoliveri Bike Park that stretches for more than 100 km of spectacular trails and streets interchangeable with each other.33
