This year, World Tourism Day is dedicated to tourism for inclusive growth, focusing on people who work hard below the line. As eloquently put by the World Tourism Organization, “we have an opportunity to look beyond statistics and recognize that behind every number is a person”.
For this reason, Thessaloniki Tourism Organization celebrates the World Tourism Day honoring the people of tourism.
Those who work hard to make Thessaloniki a hospitable embrace for every traveler.
The Vice Governor of the Region of Central Macedonia and President of Thessaloniki Tourism Organization points out characteristically: “The treasure of this city is its people. The heroes of the next door, who, from their own heart, give a daily fight. People who work quietly behind the scenes, to create unique experiences for the travelers. We thank the National Theater of Northern Greece for the kind presence of its two actors and all those were involved in the filmmaking”.
Thessaloniki Tourism Organization celebrates World Tourism Day with the true heroes of a hospitable and safe city.
Thessaloniki is…its people!
