Laurence JENK exhibits her famous Wrapping Bonbon sculptures in one of the most legendary places in Courchevel, the Hôtel-Restaurant le Chabichou, in the core of chef Stéphane Buron’s starred Michelin restaurant as well as on the terrace in front of the immaculate slopes of the famous station.
Unprecedented meeting between two exceptional celebrities. Laurence JENK, Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters in France, known throughout the world for his monumental Wrapping Bonbon sculptures and Stéphane Buron, Meilleur Ouvrier de France and chef of the restaurant „Le Chabichou”, two stars in the Michelin guide, member of the Grandes Tables du Monde, 4 white hats at Gault et Millau.
Strengthened by their attachment to beauty and passionate indulgence, it is in 2022 that the meeting takes place and that the common values of sharing and French-style excellence intersect.
It is in this renowned and exceptional winter universe that two JENK sculptures have taken their place: a monumental 2-metre sculpture in Pearly White polyester on the terrace and a unique 80-cm piece in White Plexiglas at the very heart of the restaurant.
„An unexpected encounter between culinary and art can create surprising synergies. The combination of my Bonbon sculptures and the creative cuisine of Stéphane Buron is all the more natural to become the quintessence of gourmandise. I am very happy that this artistic-culinary collaboration is coming to life at Le Chabichou with Stéphane Buron. » declares Laurence JENK.
„I have known the artist for many years because I often come across her art at renowned culinary events. We had the opportunity to meet during the Étoiles de Mougins this year where Laurence JENK was a partner. I am delighted with this collaboration which invites our guests or the skiers of the resort to admire our two worlds combining for a season full of sweetness and culinary pleasures.” declares Stéphane Buron.
