Starting on May 12, 2022 the national carrier of Kazakhstan will operate this route six times per week, which will even become a daily service from May 31, 2022. At the same time flight times will change on this route.
Flight KC922 takes off from Frankfurt at 7:55pm and get to its destination the next morning at 5:35am. On the way back, the departure of flight KC921 from Nur-Sultan is scheduled for 4:10pm with arrival in Frankfurt at 6:30pm on the same day. This service is operated by modern Airbus A321LR aircraft with a two-class configuration which includes 16 flatbed seats in Business Class. Passengers, who fly with Air Astana from Frankfurt to Nur-Sultan can transfer to numerous further destinations in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. For example, they have the option at 7:00am to fly to the economic and cultural metropolis of Almaty in the south of the country.
In addition to the services to Nur-Sultan, Air Astana will continue to fly to the city of Uralsk in northwestern Kazakhstan with one flight per week (Wednesdays) during the summer schedule.
The flights to Atyrau on the Caspian Sea, which are also operated by Air Astana once per week, will be shifted from Frankfurt to Amsterdam from start of the summer schedule 2022 for logistical reasons.
After being suspended for the past two years due to the pandemic, the seasonal service between Hanover and Kostanay in northern Kazakhstan will be resumed during the summer months. Flights will depart every Saturday between May 14 and September 4, 2022 and additionally every Sunday from June 4.
