Stephan Linhart appointed new Lufthansa Senior Director Sales Central, Eastern Europe & Israel

− Based in Vienna, he will head the commercial and sales activities of the Lufthansa Group Airlines in 19 countries within Central, Eastern Europe & Israel

Mr. Stephan Linhart has been appointed as the Senior Director Sales for Central, Eastern Europe & Israel Lufthansa Group Airlines. Just started this May 2023 he will steer and further develop the commercial and sales activities for all Lufthansa Group Airlines (Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, SWISS, Brussels Airlines, Eurowings,

Eurowings Discover and Edelweiss) within his widely spread sales region comprised of 19 countries (see below). In his new position he will be based in Vienna/Austria and is succeeding Mr. Peter Pullem, who left the company to take retirement. Mr. Linhart reports to Mr. Alain Chisari, Lufthansa Group Vice President Sales Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Stephan Linhart (49) is changing from Austrian Airlines where he was recently responsible as Senior Director Sales Austria & Slovakia for the Lufthansa Group Airlines. In this position he was responsible in a home market for revenues and sales-cost for the Lufthansa Group Airlines and implemented market- and distribution-channel specific strategies and initiatives. Mr. Linhart has been working for Austrian Airlines for over two decades. He joined the company in 1996 working as passenger service agent at Vienna International Airport. Over the years he occupied several positions such as Deputy Area Manager Central & Eastern Europe as well as Deputy Director Sales Austria. From 2005 until 2009 Mr. Linhart was Head of Pricing & Revenue Management Western Europe. After taking on several managerial positions Mr. Linhart was promoted to Director Sales & Distribution International in 2013 before switching to his latest earlier position in 2016. Mr. Linhart was born in Austria in 1973. After completing his high school education, he studied Law and Spanish Studies in Vienna.

Established sales management in CEE & Israel

In all his 19 sales markets from Slovenia in the West to Kazakhstan in the East, Mr. Linhart will lead an established local sales management:

− Poland and Czech Republic is steered by Mr. René Koinzack, based in Warsaw.

− Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Hungary, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Kosovo and Albania are steered by Mr. Karsten Zang, based in Budapest.

− Israel is steered by Mr. Marcus Hagenbruch, based in Tel Aviv

− Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova are steered by Mr. Zlatko Zlatic, based in Bucharest.

− Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kirgizstan are steered by Mr. Bernhard Wodl, based in Astana.
