Optimal connecting flights for German guests: Air Astana serves Kostanay from its Nur-Sultan hub

The northern Kazakh city of Kostanay, which is popular with many passengers from Germany, will be served by Air Astana from its Nur-Sultan hub next summer. Convenient for passengers: if they land in Nur-Sultan with the daily non-stop service from Frankfurt at 7:20 am in the morning, the onward flight takes off just 65 minutes later. After a 1:20 hour flight, they then reach Kostanay in the early morning at 9:45 am.

Air Astana will operate the service between Nur-Sultan and Kostanay on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from June, 1 to September 14, 2022.

„During the summer months, we always experience high demand for flights to Kostanay from Germany, for example from the greater Hanover area. Many passengers then travel to the north of Kazakhstan to visit friends, relatives or family,” reports Susith Hettihewa, Air Astana’s Senior Regional Manager EU Central & East, Turkey. „We are therefore delighted to offer an excellent connecting service for our flights from Frankfurt three times a week in 2022, especially as passengers not coming from Frankfurt can use our Rail & Fly service to get to the airport.”

In addition, Air Astana, Kazakhstan’s multi-award-winning national airline, is increasing the number of seats available on its flights from Frankfurt. Modern Boeing B767-300ER aircraft with 193 seats in Economy Class and 30 comfortable flatbed seats in Business Class will be operated on that route.

In summer, Air Astana will fly eight times per week from Germany to Kazakhstan. In addition to the daily flights from Frankfurt to the capital of Nur-Sultan, there are also the flights between Frankfurt and Uralsk in the west of the country, which Air Astana operates every Wednesday.
