The collection brilliantly encapsulates the Tour de France’s symbolic value and boasts an unusual logo that can be interpreted either as a stylised view of a cyclist from above or an athlete with arms raised in victory.
For the coming autumn and winter, new pieces designed to stylishly and elegantly tackle the cold are being added to the capsule collection – all, of course, boasting signature Santini quality. Design-wise, the colours for the 'Maillot Jaune’ are ultramarine blue, black and yellow, creating an effortlessly sleek, minimalist look.
The winter collection
Santini has created five pieces and two accessories for those chilly winter cycles.
The soft warm thermal fleece Allez tights have the C3 pad which has a protective shell-like structure with 3D ergonomic surfaces of different densities, making it perfect for long hours in the saddle. The yellow ‘Maillot Jaune’ logo and inserts combined with a reflective Santini logo boost wearer visibility out on the road too.
The Allez long sleeve jersey is made from Hotwind thermal fleece which keeps body temperature constant, and also features two yellow stripes against an ultramarine blue background as well as yellow details.
For tackling extremely cold days, the 'Maillot Jaune’ collection now also includes the Allez Vega Xtreme jacket made from Polartec® Windbloc® which protects the wearer from wind, rain and wet yet still guarantee superb stretch, maximum breathability and thermal balance. The collar is lined with Polartec® Alpha® to keep the delicate neck area warm whilst still allowing optimal perspiration evaporation. The rawcut sleeves are lined with cosy fleece topped by an outer layer of completely waterproof PU on the wrist. The jacket is also longer at the back for even better protection.
To complete an effortless look in the saddle and protect peripheral areas of the body, Allez overshoes and gloves have been added to the winter collection.
Lastly, the collection features two pieces: the Le Maillot Jaune sweatshirt and wool technical sweater, which are both made from Polartec®. The sweatshirt’s Polartec® Windbloc® fabric protects the wearer from wind, rain and wet while guaranteeing optimal breathability and thermal balance. The gently compressive Polartec® Power Wool™ bi-component knit fabric, on the other hand, combines the queen of natural fibres, wool, with synthetic fibres.
