Welcoming Emy Maming as Director of Sales and Marketing and Martin Schaumburg as Director of Food and Beverage to spearhead a new era of guest experiences, and commercial growth across the hotel’s iconic facilities.

Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta is delighted to announce the appointment of two seasoned hospitality experts to its executive leadership team. Emy Maming joins as the new Director of Sales and Marketing, alongside Martin Schaumburg, who takes the helm as Director of Food and Beverage. These strategic appointments reinforce the hotel’s focus on strengthening its leadership team and delivering unparalleled European luxury combined with traditional Indonesian hospitality.

Driving Commercial Excellence: Emy Maming

Emy Maming brings to her new role a distinguished track record spanning over 17 years, during which she has driven revenue performance, brand positioning, and market share growth across the luxury and
upscale hospitality segments. She is widely recognised for her ability to build high-performing teams and deliver sustainable revenue growth through strategic market segmentation and high-value partnerships. Prior to joining Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta, Emy successfully led key commercial divisions in the capital, including serving as the Director of Marketing & Commerce at Mandarin Oriental Jakarta, Gran Melia Jakarta, Oakwood Suites Jakarta Kuningan and Aston Priority Simatupang Hotel.

In her new capacity, Emy will oversee the hotel’s integrated commercial division, covering Sales, Marketing and Communications. Her focus will remain on optimising pricing strategies and driving RevPAR Index (RGI) growth.

Elevating Food & Beverage Innovation: Martin Schaumburg

Bringing an extraordinary international portfolio, German national Martin Schaumburg has been appointed as the Director of Food and Beverage. Martin joins Jakarta directly from the iconic Taschenbergpalais Kempinski in Dresden, Germany, where he served as Director of Food & Beverage. Over his illustrious career, he has gained extensive experience across Asia and Europe, including Sunway Resort Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Angsana Laguna Phuket, InterContinental Grand Stanford in Hong Kong, and Kempinski properties across China, including Shenzhen, Shenyang, Huizhou, Yinchuan, and Sanya. At Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta, Martin will be responsible for overseeing F&B operations, bars, lounges, and extensive banquet facilities, while introducing innovative concepts and maintaining world-
class service standards.

Petra Baumann, the General Manager of Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta, expressed her enthusiasm for the new appointments. „We are absolutely thrilled to welcome both Emy and Martin to our executive team here in Jakarta. Emy’s
profound understanding of the dynamic Indonesian market, combined with Martin’s stellar global expertise and deep familiarity with the Kempinski heritage, makes them the perfect duo to elevate our
commercial and culinary offerings. With Emy spearheading our commercial outreach, we aim to further capitalise on our unrivalled corporate
and MICE positioning.

Our clients will benefit from our strategic location in the heart of the city facing the iconic Bundaran HI, paired with our legendary ballrooms and meeting spaces, which remain the capital’s premier choice for
high-profile summits and bespoke weddings. Simultaneously, Martin’s exceptional culinary pedigree will bring fresh innovation to our acclaimed dining venues. We are eager to enhance guest experiences across our famous outlets, from the authentic heritage cuisine at Signatures Restaurant and the award-winning, premium Japanese dining at OKU, to Jakarta’s ultimate microbrewery experience at Paulaner Bräuhaus. Together, they will drive commercial growth, boost our market presence, and craft unforgettable experiences for our sophisticated guests.”
