The new visa rules are as follows:
- for a maximum of 15 days of travel: a €10 fee for border control formalities is required
- for a trip of 16-30 days: a €35 visa fee is payable
- for a trip of 31-60 days: a €40 visa fee is payable (which can be extended to a maximum of 90 days for around €20)
The visa can be applied for at the airport upon arrival and is issued immediately on the spot. You can pay in cash (in euros or dollars), no photo is required. You must present your passport that is valid for at least 6 months from the date of your return trip. It is worth bringing the exact amount as the authorities are not always able to give back the change.
I am sending attached the „Practical information Madagascar” document updated with the above information.
Entry conditions:
it is still valid that all entry restrictions and conditions have been lifted, neither a PCR test nor a vaccination certificate is required.
