Milan, 18 March 2022 – The world leader in whirlpool tubs and a synonym of wellness, Jacuzzi® is pleased to announce CLEARRAY Active OxygenTM, a sanitisation system installed on Jacuzzi® Spas and Swim Spas capable of effectively eliminating 99.9% of any pathogens present in the water. CLEARRAY Active OxygenTM combines the action of ozone with UV-C rays, thus increasing the disinfection of water in the Spas and Swim Spas and reducing the use of chemicals normally required for water treatment, the risk of skin irritation and the maintenance costs of Spas and Swim Spas.
How does it work? A small amount of ozone is introduced into the water of the Spas and Swim Spas. The ozonated water is exposed to UV-C rays which naturally activate an oxidising reaction that destroys most water-borne pathogens in a completely natural way. The use of UV-C technology allows you to choose the right dose of chlorine or bromine to use according to your needs. Depending on this choice, the system will accordingly activate ozone with the UV-C technology to guarantee the most efficient water treatment on the market. The water is then introduced into the Spas and Swim Spas, ensuring constant cleaning over time thanks to the continuous action of the filters. Laboratory tests have confirmed that the water treated with Jacuzzi® CLEARRAY Active OxygenTM technology maintains a constant level of cleanliness with a 50% reduction in the use of sanitising chemicals.
CLEARRAY Active OxygenTM is included as standard on the J-500™, J-400™, J-300™, Virtus Spas and on all the Jacuzzi® Swim Spas.
