Air Astana offers more seats in the services from Frankfurt

Just in time for the high-demand summer season, Air Astana, the national airline of Kazakhstan, is using a larger aircraft on its daily flights from Frankfurt to the Kazakh capital Astana. Instead of an Airbus A321neo, a Boeing 767-300 is now flying this route. It has 30 seats in the comfortable Business Class and 193 seats in Economy Class and can thus carry 57 more passengers per flight.

„During the summer months, our flights from Frankfurt to Astana are traditionally particularly heavily booked, so we are very pleased that we can now carry almost 400 additional passengers per week from Frankfurt thanks to the deployment of a larger aircraft on this route,” said Susith Hettihewa, Senior Regional Manager EU Central & East, Turkey at Air Astana. „Many business travellers and tourists book this service to transfer from Astana or our second hub in Almaty to numerous destinations in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. In addition, there are many passengers in the summer who want to visit their friends and relatives in the region.”

Outside Kazakhstan, the most popular destinations for Air Astana passengers from Frankfurt include Tashkent, Bishkek and Dushanbe, as well as destinations further afield such as Bangkok, Delhi, Beijing and Phuket. In addition to the daily service from Frankfurt to Astana, Air Astana also flies every Wednesday from the metropolis to the three-river city of Uralsk (Oral) in northwest Kazakhstan.
